Simon Mitchell Dipl.HE, BA (Hons), Cert.Ed.FE, also known as 'simonthescribe' is a digital artist who designs websites and publishes books and ebooks. He is fully conversant with 'Web 2' interactive technologies and is truly a digital scribe for the 21st century.
Simon was trained in Art and Design at Dartington College of Arts in Devon and completed an Honours Degree in Creative Arts, combining studies in watercolour painting, photography, film production and theatre - an excellent training for the internet before it became mainstream.
Published by Macmillan in 1999, Simon wrote, illustrated and laid out ‘Mastering Desktop Publishing’, a book focussing on design for small business. Since then he has mastered the book publishing process using print on demand. He has published several of his own books and those of other writers.
Simon is also a webmaster, making and running web sites for a range of local small businesses. His background in art and photography, writing and theatre help to produce some stunningly good-looking sites that have effectiveness and good communication built-in from the outset.
